    Rising U12 (03/02)

any teams merging? I'm assuming that most of the better teams will go to 11V11 next year?

Depends on the club. TBU and WFF are playing up.

I'm assuming you are talking about girls because the boys are not very good or deep to play 11V11.

will Doral Boys play 11V11 next year? I think they are a great 8v8 team but unless they get some help, I'm not sure this team will translate into a 11V11 power.

I would think that many of the S. FL teams will have to merge, as I did see many with great depth.

WFF boys won Region C and just lost to OCYS Purple I in Gold Division final of Disney U11 in overtime I believe. That's not bad, I'm not sure how deep they are though or if they will be losing or gaining any players

"I'm not sure this team will translate into a 11V11 power." Why not? Explain please.

One of the parents at the Rush tournament said there were team dynamics that would lead to some heading to Clearwater and other locations. Not sure if it happened, but there was talk of the team breaking apart.

This is apparently accurate. Too bad, once a promising bunch of young talented players, most had been together since U8

I hear some kids from Orlando City did not return. Not surprised after they did not even make the semi-finals of region B

TBU had its worst U11 boys group for a long time this year. Not much depth at all there.

Don't know of anything here either.

I think most teams will play 8v8 in fall until Region Cup is over.

They did not loose one starter or player from their purple 1/2 pool and added more depth to play 11 v 11. The mention of region B last year 8 v 8 soccer at 11 years is crazy. They never lost on any tournament and played 11 v 11 as u 11 on over 40% of their games. I wonder of any of Germany players that won the world cup are still answering questions about not winning a state competition at u11??? Or if any players even were on a good team at u11?
Im not at OCYS, I live in Miami and was going to relocate there. But it amazes me how people try to post things on this site to put others down. This OCYS Purple 02/03 group is strong. There purple 2 team did make the semi final. They are doing the right thing for the future. The only people still talking about last region cup at u11 are other clubs trying to tear them down.
