GPS Slimeball Machine manipulates VW Junior Master

GPS teams interchanged rosters and teams for the VW Junior Masters tournament to guarantee their win.
We apparently missed the memo that said we were allowed to switch roster spots in the middle of the tournament.
    Slimeballs!

You lost.... please move on. Its not fortunate, its not the kids fault, and it too bad it happen if it did.

Log a complaint if you have proof. I suspect the VW folks would want to know. Bringing it to TS is not very useful

it's the responsibility of the ref to check the player cards at the game against the roster that was submitted to the tournament. If you think they didn't do that let the Needham officials know (ideally someone should have alerted the ref at the game itself).

They checked nothing. No player cards required. Submit your rosters and players show up.

Two GPS teams were entered. One was disqualified but played three games. The other tied this mediocre NH GPS and barely made it to semis. Today the GPS team beat the two teams each by 11 goals. Statistically not possible with the team we all saw on Saturday and Sunday.

          GPS most definitely cheated.

This is just a lie, same team all weekend. Get a life and stop making things up. Not good for you, the kids or the sport.

6 GD for their three regular games; 22 GD for the two playoff games. Yeah sure its the same team! Cheaters!

Please tell me you are not going to make this big of a deal about a u12 event. You cannot be serious. CALL NEEDHAM if you have a problem. You're adults!

I'm just a neutral person here and it does seems very strange that the same roster could make such a big difference in a span of 24 hours. My question is why didn't the coach of the opposing team or the parents say something to the refs during the first game of the playoffs?

Maybe the best players were not there due to lacrosse, baseball, family commitments and then showed up for the final day?

Sorry my friend, same GPS team from day 1 of the tournament. The team had never played or trained one single solitary minute together before the tournament. It's very common for good teams to progress like that in less than 48 hours, especially with players with a high skill set like that GPS 2002 team. Pursue it all you want, you're free to do that ,but VW has a tight leash in that stuff. Understand your frustration, but until you play really good competition, you never really know how your perceived "good" team stacks up.On Day 2 GPS steamrolled over everybody with ease and it could've much much worse. Playing against low level competition all season long in a Mass based league gives you a false sense of judgment about your team. It's just the way it is. Many parents return from out of state competition feeling just like you are today. As was mentioned in another thread, this GPS '02 boys are some of the best around and are being highly recruited.
