    Games on religious holidays

There was a girls tournament that took place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday of this past weekend.

Would you have been upset if your child's team participated in this tournament because of the conflict with Good Friday, Easter and/or Passover, or would your child have attended with no problem?

Wouldn't even had been considered. Further would have questioned why I'm with a team that would have considered going. What tournament was it?

No way would an Easter game be thought of in our club. It would cause a revolt.

Western Canada College Showcase in Vancouver. They are all Chinese out there. Doesn't conflict with Tombsweeping Day, May Day, or Dragon Boat Festival Day, so what's the problem? No need for teenage girls to travel so far. Just another way to burn your cash and interfere with their studies and family life. Play on a team that stays in the NE USA.

Right, bible thumpers always take the moral high ground.

You Americans and your religion... No better way than to spend Easter weekend than going with family to watch your young ones play soccer, as is de rigueur across Europe and apparently Canada.

The best youth tournaments/festivals i have been a part of have taken place Easter weekend.

US is still a backwater politically, socially and in terms of the beautiful game.

So is this a British concept then? Do you go to youth sports events on Christmas too?

Traveling to Vancouver Canada to play premier soccer on Easter? You can't be serious.
