Starship North is in trouble. Many teams losing a few players. The soccer parents on the North Shore seem to have figured out the smoke and mirrors. Stars North have a few good teams, but most are a waste of time and money.
The parents in southern NH caught on to him and slowed down sending their kids to MK. He needed to open up a new market. No idea where he will go next. He is a great bridge burner.

Too bad, he seems like a nice guy. I would have to say that type of business is getting more diluted. There is always somebody claiming they have a better way and less parents buying the product. It must be a tough way to make a living.
The U12 and U13 teams are great as they are proving. Stars is not going anywhere and will have more kids flocking to tryouts.... MK is loved by all the kids and parents.

a few North players practicing with ECNL... seems like the North bond is not as strong as some think. But the current team is dominating the opponents. MK will make it work if he can keep those players from leaving...

Too many clubs on the north shore. Stars north. Benfica. Tosh farell. Sachems. Vikings. NSU. Aztecs.
too many teams in age groups= watered down talent pool and mediocre competition.
And word is the Greater Lowell FC is making a debut in the youth club scene next fall; probably in MAPLE but maybe NEP. They're a very ambitious club saying that they offer professional soccer while the highest they are playing is in the NPSL w/ charging $10 a ticket for admission, or $20 a family for 2 adults and 2 kids. Word is they also have plans to do this on the women's side. They also want build a professional soccer stadium in the area which doesn't make sense unless they start filling their Cawley Stadium to capacity.
Also, Abbey Villa is running a series of free/cheap clinics in the Lowell area as a marketing channel to get interest. Meanwhile, PASA (now Mill City FC) has downsized dramatically in recent years.
