    Boston Breakers North

I heard today the Boston Breakers will be "launching" girls club teams in the north shore this fall.

Can they attract players? Should other north shore based club be concerned?

    Discuss?

Wow. Just what we need. Aztec, North Shore United, Vikings, Stars North, Benfica, NE Rush, GPS. How many more clubs want to come in and water down the environment. UGH. Unless they come in and merge with one or two others, it's just going to make things worse.

NEFC is next. The small clubs above are in big trouble.

Until they recruit a few decent coaches that bring teams with them. Then Scorpions will take off on the North Shore. The competition from the small clubs just isn't there. NEFC and Scorpions are bigger names, better run and that's what the parents are attracted to.

Just the Breakers name will go a long way with parents. Just going to pull from a limited pool of players. I doubt NEFC will sit by and not move up North and leave that area to Stars and Scorps to divide up.

                  NEFC is already up North?

There's no reason to merge when you can just hire a few established coaches from the existing area and they bring reputations, contacts and relationships with them.

Yeah, wasn't that the purpose of the Grasshopper merger?

Yeah, it worked out so great in the West.

Any word on who is running it or will the "shoe drop" closer to tryouts? Hmmm...let the speculation begin on who is jumping.

Correct - it did work out great in the West. I am more than statisfied with the experience this year. JB has that ship sailing smooooth, she is a great asset to the club.
