    Pinellas County United

As a parent, I wanted to get something off my chest, I am very upset at the behavior of our parents in Port Charlotte this weekend especially on Sunday. We had parents going onto the field after the game chasing the refs, we had parents cursing loudly at the refs, it was absolutely embarrassing to watch. Stop, think about your actions before you lose control, think what are our children taking from this insanity? Yes, the refs were poor, but they were bad for both teams. When our kids are witnessing a mother charging onto to the field making verbal threats towards a ref, a father cursing from the sidelines the whole game and then trying to intimidate a 60 year old ref and a mother making threats to opposing parents after the game is uncalled for. All of this was witnessed by one of our top dogs from the club and he did nothing, but to encourage it. Stop the madness, let your kids play soccer minus all of your drame, it's embarrassing to the girls and to other parents of the team.

Was JK or BK involved? They are the worst role models ever. BK will sit on the sidelines with the coach and bad mouth the players that are on the field. Should have gotten rid of those two long ago.

This is nothing new, the same parents were problems for the past few years. Let me guess, the lady charging the ref was probably a fat white (grey) haired women, her daughter sometimes played goalie. She has been nuts for years, a real nut job. The dad cursing and threatening the refs, I bet is a real scrawny guy that paces the sidelines during the games, he usually wears like a outback hat and camo clothes. Again this guy has been a loose cannon for years, he is always going to get even with the refs, but the reality is that he couldn't fight his way out of a paper bag. I am so glad that we got our daughter away from this crazy team.

What are you getting all worked up about, PCU is a loser club with absolutely no good teams. If you are at PCU, you are wasting time and money. It is a 3rd division level club, just above Rec, but not much.

Most Clubs are crap. I saw Region C this weekend in Naples and let me tell you, most coaches could not give tactical directions because they just don't know..... I saw a team with 10-11 players no subs going 150 miles an hour in the first 15 minutes, obviously they were dead in the 2nd half.....saw their scores lost 2-1 and 1-0. So why pay $1000 to play when all we are doing is playing glorified rec. The academy is where the real talent is, so as parents we have to stop this madness of paying premier fees for rec soccer. It is our fault and the clubs are laughing their asses off.

You have absolutely no idea what you are talking about, probably from PCU. Those teams are just out of shape.

PCU coaches are all daddies with a daughter or son on the team that gets all the playing time and gets the captain title. Why anyone would pay that kind of money for their children in play on crap teams with crap coaches is beyond me.

You're correct, but the problem is that the whole Largo-St.Pete area is littered with nothing but 3rd division type clubs: Largo, PCU, Celtic, Seminole, Everton and Strictly are all bad clubs that offer little, so what is a parent to do? Not everyone can simply afford to put 2-3 kids into the Chargers, TBU or WFF programs. Wouldn't it make more sense for some of these clubs to merge to create one good club in our area?

PCU has been a mess for the past five years, it looks as though nothing has changed. This U15 girls team has went through so many players in the past three seasons that you could start two other teams with all of the players that have left because of the insanity.
