Wow, great to hear a WA team made it that far, that is a huge accomplishment!

Agreed. I am always rooting for all the local clubs to do well at these tournaments, even if I want my kid's team to crush them head to head. I figure it reflects well on all of our clubs when some reach the spotlight at these kind of tournaments and means that we are providing legit competition for one another in our conference. I looked up the Man City table and the clubs were no joke. Also saw Crossfire 09 won their pool and made it to the quarterfinals. Good on ya 09s! Now go bring back an ECNL trophy from nationals!

I believe the proper nomenclature is little person.

HAHAHA!! Sure, being last in MLS next is so much better. MLS next is the joke after U-little. All of the best players are playing for free on the 2nd team leaving roster fillers for the MLS next team.

Keep telling yourself that. You're probably mad your kid can't get on an ECNL roster

Credit where credit is due. At least, it's a different simile. Didn't equate boys ECNL with rec soccer or beating the Sparkling Fairydusters, which is what most people would do. Anyways, hit-and-run comments like these are easy to make and they're just background noise.

Looks like 3 of the top 7 clubs in Liga MX were there (Chivas, Leon, Tigres) plus Santos Laguna and Xolos who are fairly low in the Apertura right now, but have been top clubs in the recent past. Seems like a pretty strong showing for this event despite your suggestion otherwise.

Anyone know anything about those "ManCity teams" that were playing in some groups? Are they US based? were they from UK? Their top team? Other?

If this poster is just trying to stir the pot and yank somebody's chain, that was brilliant.
