Who can organize this? If teams all refused to waste time in this what would happen?

That's such a childish thing to do. Adults would find better solution...that does not involve ranting on anonymous listserv. The Spokane kids probably want to play games otherwise they'd be quitting. Also you knew the risk when you signed up to play in rcl. Suck it up and be role model for your kid.

Why do people hate Spokane so much? Understand that they aren’t competitive in ECNL but their teams usually do fine in RCL. If you aren’t willing to drive 4 hours, then go play NPSL.

From Spokane here and 100% agree Sounders shouldn't compete in RCL, nothing to do with competition its just ridiculous. Now the 2010 and older kids play both RCL and DPL. The RCL games dont matter as far as wins and losses, our team uses RCL as friendly's however thats 4 double header weekends to Seattle for a B team when we can get the same level competition playing teams in Spokane, North Idaho and Tricities. For DPL we only have 2 travel weekend one in Seattle and one in Portland, makes much more sense.
