You mistyped that right, 9-0 and 11-0 in a local ECNL match???? I remember rec league days when this would happen from unmatched teams. But ECNL? Also sometimes this happens at travel tournaments with WA vs Socal. But local? Did they at least mercy rule it at some point. Pull 4 kids off the field? Did the Pac kids ask for a refund? Does Viet know?

I have to stop with the shocked sarcastic statements. I could go all day.

I’m guessing the people that would care about this were at these games and so what exactly is the purpose of posting it here? Trying to bag on a bunch of kids? Cool.

Maybe the scores are surprisingly on the girls side, but on the boys side I think at most age groups the XF ECNL wins by at least 5 scores against Pac.

Ok just checked, in the younger years XF has been very dominant against Pac, but at the older years the competition is very good. So I am concluding either
            a) XF younger teams are simply better
            b) XF plays to win at the younger ages while Pac is playing to learn

The older boys PacNW teams that are good never struggled as much as their younger teams do now. I do think they train kids the right way but to just put it on development is naive.

the 07/08 age mentioned above is 14-16 years old. How much more learning does Pac need on the girls side to not lose 11-0.

Saw that XF made a post about this on Facebook with the scores.

Stay classy XF. This is why everyone hates you.

Stop it. We pacnw plays so that everyone touches the ball and THAT keeps the checks coming in. So just stop
                        the development crap.

                          a) Compared to PAC, yes. Overall SU is relatively at the same level. Just check out the RCL and Presidents Cup results.

                          b) Yes, and SU seems to do better is this regard. For example you can search for B13 RCL 1 games on youtube and see that even at 8 the kids play FIXED positions just so the coach can be proud of the first place!

It’s pretty hard to argue MT is a developmental coach. Ask the parents around his teams. There are better options at that and other clubs if you want you player to develop. Can MT recruit? YES. Can he coach?….
