Assuming that most the boys on this team will join the 07 ECNL team next year, I’d advise skipping the tournament to save for ECNL travel. If this is a financial burden for the families they are in for it with ECNL expenses. ECNL expense can range from 10-15k per year- even more if you want to travel with your kid to watch their games.

UPDX on to the finals tomorrow, beating Boise 3-2 in the semis. Slow start on Monday but they are now doing just fine.

Not odd. Boise is a great team and got two quick unfortunate goals in the first game. UPDX was lucky to beat them in the 2nd. The two teams are probably equally skilled and Boise has huge kids. Other teams - blue (played as black last weekend) will be very solid. Grey (played as blue), less solid.
