In Portland, the biological males who identifies as a female is the best, no matter what club it is at.

Sorry, expect the male coaches at Bridge City. Have you looked at their resumes? A lot of words that add up to zipo

Just looking at performance, Tracy Nelson at the Thorns far and away (!) has coached and won more high level games and advanced her teams farther than anyone in the area for the last 6 seasons. I think she is coaching the Thorns 2010 team this season.

All Thorns coaches that have beat Surf Oregon, I guess that is all of them.

Ok Tracy. Taking everything with a grain of salt when you don’t need to coach anything when promotion and recruitment is the way.

Find a coach that players actually want to return to and doesn’t have the benefit of fc Portland players showing up after their club falling apart.

Yawn. There have been better teams then the one team you listed easily. Doesn’t mean Jack for a coach.

How was it a benefit having the FC Portland players? They were awful in the ECNL

1 team that was a benefit of recruitment doesn’t make you a good coach. Period. It’s a laugh.

just think even the yeller RJ has the same record as Tracy.

You have to be kidding me! She assigned herself on the top teams thay already had the best consolidated talemt in the area for those age groups. A monkey could coach themsleves to win with those rosters.

Speaks volumes when the parents and players can't stand having her as a coach and pay thousands for people outside of their club to train their kids.

She's a great person and was a great player. Elite coach? Far from it.

We are talking about Oregon, yes? So it wouldn't matter what Thorns team she assigned herself to, they are all better then NW Elite now Oregon Surf, used to be Thusc. Best consolidated talent, yes they all wanted to play for the best coach and club. That is why Thorns keep stomping the Oregon Surf (Is that still their name)

Get the facts straight. They are playing for the brand. Not the coach. Important to look at what coaches have done before Thorns Acdemy? What has they have done without having all the best players?

Having the best players is the major contributor to winning and the Thorns have them.

Before brands there were clubs. When we had clubs we had oregonians in the olympics and world cup. Those were the days.

They were awful once the Thorns got put in the league. This post has clearly been started by a female coach, who will then mention herself. Going off the responses, Bridge City staff or Tracy Nelson, the state is in a terrible place for role models.
