Also, OYSA is a notch below WPL but it doesn’t matter. The talented teams play ECNL and some in GAL. Anything below that is a C league at best.
What are you smoking? GAL? That’s Bridge City. Nice positive messaging for young ladies, but the quality of soccer is mediocre. My daughter’s OYSA team has scrimmaged them twice and walloped them. They’re not competitive. ECNL does have the strongest team at most age groups, but the three teams at each age group aren’t the top three. You have some dud ECNL teams. And some strong OYSA teams that aren’t ECNL or the mighty GAL.

Bridge City hasn’t played a single GA league game yet. They’ll struggle this year but being in GA will attract
talent and will be smashing little Suzy’s OYSA rec team in 2 years.

Except for the fact that GA will implode in two years. Lil Suzie’s rev team is saved!

ECNL will remain the spot for the top girls’ talent in the area overall. For boys, the best older boy play on the Timbers academy/MLS next team or whatever it’s called now. The rest of the best play for the top OYSA teams. Not sure if WA Timbers in Vancouver joined boys ECNL but I don’t believe any Portland teams are part of boys ECNL.
