As a longtime Floridian, Asheville NC has always been a great place to enjoy year-round outdoor activities while enjoying the cooler weather. Moreover, it has a great foodie and craft beer scene. Unfortunately, liberal policies have ruined their city while hurting tourism. When we visited last fall, the downtown area looked like a mini San Fransico.


City police in Asheville NC, recently released new statistics that show rising violent crime trends in the Democrat-led tourist town have continued, increasing 34% year-to-date compared to last year and 29% over 2020.

violent crime in the historic mountain town skyrocketed 31% per 100,000 people between 2016 and 2020 — nearly double the national average and 18 percentage points higher than North Carolina's 13% increase statewide during the same period.

The new violent crime numbers, which include a 59% year-to-date spike in armed robberies compared to 2021, come as two suspects made local headlines this week, allegedly beating a man with a baseball bat and robbing him along a heavily trafficked avenue that runs north from downtown Asheville.

Asheville, a city of about 90,000 people in the mountainous western region of North Carolina's Buncombe County, has also been hemorrhaging both city and county police officers in recent years.

APD Chief David Zack recently told Fox News Digital that his department is down more than 100 sworn officers since May 2020, and that they are struggling to maintain visibility while "operating at almost 42% down every single day."

Multiple sources attributed the mass exodus to the city's liberal leadership and to left-wing activists who undermine the police.

The Michigan Freedom Fund released an advertisement that shows footage of Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel calling for “a drag queen in every school.”

The advertisement centers around comments from Democrat Attorney General Dana Nessel, who remarked on camera, “I say this: a drag queen for every school! That — that is what would be fun for kids.”

Nessel continues, saying “You know what’s not a problem for kids who are seeking a good education? Drag queens. Okay? Let me say this, drag queens, not only are drag queens not hurting our kids, drag queens make everything better.”

According to The Detroit News, Nessel disregarded parental concerns that their children may be exposed to drag queens at schools, which she called “fake issues.” The Democrat attorney general also complained about “wedge issues that don’t help us, that don’t heal us, but divide us.”

Transgender surgery for kids without parental consent may become a constitutional right in Michigan if Gov. Whitmer has her way

A proposal on the Michigan ballot next month would reportedly enshrine in the state constitution transgender care, up to and including sterilization surgery, for minors, and parents would be powerless to stop it. And Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D), who is running for reelection, has vowed to "fight like hell" to make sure it passes.

According to the alarming legal analysis of Margot Cleveland of the Federalist, the so-called "gender-affirming" care Proposal 3 would ensure for minors is buried in vague language about "reproductive freedom," deceiving voters into believing that the proposal relates to abortion only. But the ambiguous language of the proposal, carefully crafted by Planned Parenthood and other "gender-affirming" and abortion outlets, incorporates children as well as adults and deliberately excludes parents from interfering, Cleveland said.

Cleveland claims that the term "individual" applies to men and women, boys and girls, regardless of age. And because the proposal later says that the state may not "discriminate in the protection or enforcement of this fundamental right," parents would no longer have any legal recourse, she said, to contest the "sterilization" demands of their minor children, since denying them such "care" based on their young age would be an act of discrimination.

Democratic Virginia Delegate Elizabeth Guzman told WJLA on Thursday she will introduce a bill that will expand the state's definition of child abuse and neglect to include parents and guardian who do not affirm their LGBT children.
