Alexandria has had decent girls teams in the past but it seems like girls are fleeing the club. Any girls attending tryouts this week?

This is hilarious. I went and checked out your claims, then posted this on the NJ board. It was you, and it's a pathetic attempt at that. GA is#2 but it's not going anywhere.
funny how this one and the MA post were at the same time last night. Most likely you. the VA thread started 6+ weeks ago about specific GA clubs, then voila last night at the same time as these two threads, that one was revived with the same unfounded rumor. Again, it was you

GA can't survive long term. They are poorly managed and only adding second tier clubs here and there. They should not have kicked Alexandria out- that could have become a strong girls academy team in a few years but now those girls will just continue to go to ECNL clubs in the area.

But the PP is right in that GA should have kept Alexandria. 5-1 ECNL to GA in Northern Virginia will be a problem for the GA brand moving forward.

These comments are so dumb. ECNL peanut gallery can also outnumber GA parents 5-1. People who post on here are the minority. Intelligent parents will take their kid where they can be successful whether its GA or ECNL.
BTW, the comment about GA being poorly organized is way off. I am a parent of both ECNL and GA. Both are well organized. Both have its positives and negatives in regard to league play, playoffs and showcases. Both have very similar College Scout numbers. ECNL will have more players in D1 because there is more talent on the top half. Top GA teams will be just as heavily recruited as top ECNL teams. Honestly the biggest difference between the two leagues isn’t the bottom table (both are pretty bad) it is the middle table that sets ECNL apart.
Regardless GA is not going anywhere. It probably got a little stronger this year from my POV but still not the same level as ECNL.
I don’t understand why ECNL parents feel the need to spread disinfo. As said earlier, GA is not a threat. Kids will go to FCV regardless as long as they are successful.

It is getting harder for FCV to differentiate itself from other clubs as special. They will be linked to the overall quality of GA as a whole.
FCV’s success is now tied to GA’s overall success.

Geographically- most parents who are Alexandria players are not going to move to FCV for GA. They would drive past 3 ECNL clubs on the way to Loudoun County. GA might have been mad about the Alexandria/Metro merger but they should have figured out a way to work it out for the geographic reason. Now Alexandria will go back to feeding girls to ECNL clubs.
