FCV may have 1 or 2 good teams, but how would they hold up in the ECNL world. Even their “star recruiter” has bailed, and left telling people that the GA sucks.

This is the result of her class of recruiting. When you put kids into the system primarily to benefit a clubs reputation over putting only the deserved forward the product is not one of merit or true competition.

This is not to say that ultimately the best representation of our youth talent was overlooked but when kids, who know they'll go no further than a training center invite and the kids who know they will get called to a camp there is no real competition.

The kids, who just want to make a training center for the resume padding and know they will go no further dilute the process especially when the kids at the training center can tell that they will advance. There is no real fight for the actual roster spots. When it is obvious that the process is predetermined it is nearly impossible to get the best out of all involved.
