Another major defection from the 2008 Bayside team. Their 6' goalie left for Scorpions 2008 National team. Huge loss for that team and good pickup for Scorpions.

It is a good move for Bayside. The custodial engineer should sticking to cleaning toilets. The reality is that ECRL Northeast is the best option for competitive play if you want to stay in RI. This gives Bayside a competitive advantage over other clubs. Now, let’s not presume the ECRL Northeast is a pathway to the ECNL National league. It is not and it wont be in the future. It is just the best option for aspiring players in RI who dont want to travel to MA.

All the ECNL National teams carry 20+ per roster so you’re playing stars 80th - 90th ranked players and scorpions 40ish + ranked players. CT Rush had more than half their teams finish in the bottom third of the DPL League. CFC North is CFC’s third team as well, so again - 40ish + on the depth chart. CFC Legacy….lol. Is that the old CFC south?? That’s CFC’s like 6th teams.
Mate….give it up. I appreciate your dedication to the narrative, but come on. Maybe if you were playing in the other half of the northeast region, you could make a case, but Bayside’s region is a joke and Scorpions (using Juve’s old DPL teams) will be the only beneficiaries.

Anyone who says anything is the best, especially ECRL2, is uninformed. Best depends on a player's goals and priorities. Bayside ECRL2 comes with a mix of competition and a ton of unnecessary travel. That might or might not be the best thing for a RI player.
Sure, getting out of Elite64 was a good move for Bayside. (It also had a ton of unnecessary travel.) That's not saying much.
Both these things are true:
1) joining ECRL2 was a good move for Bayside
2) that doesn't make it the best option for your player
