Just cements the fact that Bayside, at least their 08 girls, is clearly in the second level of local teams. And that's okay. There's certainly needs to be a place for the those players who want to play close to home with their friends.

The more surprising thing here is the strength of those 08 Aztec Girls who recently also beat both NEFC 08 GA and Scorpions 08 National though by more respectable scores (1-0 and 2-0 respectively).

Does Bayside get to (have to?) play Aztecs again this spring? Impact NPL only has 6 teams in the division. Are there only 5 league games or do they double up against the other 5 teams?

08 is 08. Things change by U15 and up. Seems like the teams have excellent footing after the physical developmental years with lots of after youth soccer opportunities. A hard loss just shows the areas you need to improve.

Not sure exactly what you mean here but you are correct when you say that there are certainly avenues to improvement. The problem is that Bayside succeeds only if they hold onto their U10s-U14s, It's not recruiting top players from other clubs at this point so there's a ceiling to what that improvement looks like.

Hey on the bright side there is a great chance this weekend Bayside 08’s will not lose again
            13-1.

              Dear Haters,
Jealousy is a terrible disease. Get well soon.
You know, I've thought about this for a while. I'm legit trying to think of a single thing I'd be jealous of Bayside about. The closest I can come to is a few years ago we went to a tourney at Colt State Park (I think that was the place). Very nice area, great place to walk the dogs pre-game. (Of course, even that experience went to hell when a drunken parent threatened to beat up a teenage ref for an 11:00 game).

So, that's about it. Held a tourney on crappy fields in a picturesque location several years ago.

              Yep...must be "jealousy"....

Ahhh, I vaguely remember that tournament. Funny thing is my kid is one of the few still on the team from that tournament. The parents/players have shuffled around so much since then... think back... maybe that drunken parent was you? Glad you're off the team - too bad you couldn't get a life in all your free time. Enjoy your club, stay off our new turf please.

Nope, I was a horrified parent on another team. And, from what I was told, that kid (who sat down crying while this was going on) is still on the team. She seems to have taken on her dad's temper, as well. There's a few of them on there that fit that description, to be fair. She's not an outlier. She has a pretty good right jab, but there were some who were better with their hooks than her.

by writing this, maybe not jealousy, but extreme jealousy, weird envy. why even post this? The baysiders seem completely happy with the program, they get great results - best in RI, have college access and some even move onto ECNL, which is great. Why do you care to post if not jealousy?, think about it for a while more and than go focus on yourself...the complainers are weird and have issues.

Why? Because it's a dirty program made up of dirty players and arrogant parents. Your response to my response was a comment made earlier about the status of the program.

                      Jealous? Ha, nope.

Based on the teams that were there at that last event, no way. Sorry things didn't work out for you in life. Go be a troll somewhere else, nobody is buying the b.s. you keep trying to lather on these boards about the parents and the players. I'll let you get the last words in because I know you can't help yourself....

And, which "last event" are you referring to?

The last event *you* are referring about at the crappy fields in a picturesque location (Colt park) - your words... Want to make up a new story now? Parents had a snowball fight, players wearing brass knuckles...

Oh, got it. I thought you were referring to the more recent one, where punches were thrown throughout the game. You're kind of all over the place, so hard to discern just what the heck you are talking about.

No, no snowball fight on that sunny weekend at Colt State Park. It was June, and quite warm and very humid if I recall. Not ideal snowball weather, to be sure. They would melt remarkably fast and besides there...no place to get snow. (Correction, I think there was a snow cone dude there, but that would be silly to spend several bucks on a cone only to throw it at someone) But, there were lots of the old "red cups" on the sideline and drunken parents arguing with an obviously overmatched kid trying to keep control. Shocking to see a parent being escorted away screaming "REMEMBER THIS FACE!" to the kid. Thought I was at a Friday night Yankees/Red Sox game.

And, no, no brass knuckles seen on either occasion, but the punches being thrown were during a more recent game. I guess the li'l angles don't like to be touched on the pitch. But, to be clear, all punches were done so without any outside paraphernalia.

I will give credit, though...parents seemed to have calmed quite a bit since the last time we shared the same pitch. Could've been the weather, not sure, but a noticeable (albeit not complete) change
