It’s not a waste of “good talent” unless you are saying they can only be talented when wearing a bucks jersey. That talent will transfer to other teams. You are way too into your daughter’s soccer team IMO.
Now I know why people call it FC Bully.

Explain how that comment was bullying?

Does the DA allow non professional parent coaches?
        How many practices a week?
How often is feedback and evaluations given to players?

Any other info you have that would be helpful.

        Thanks.
        4 nights
Parents dont even watch practice, let alone particpate
        Feedback and evaluation ... constantly
Game film, 24 hours after a game
        Dedicated recruiting coordinator
DOC/Academy Director involved with every team.
Never a cancelled practice, unless there is heavy rain or lightning.
10 month speed and agility program
USSF technical staff also show up and run sessions
... and on and on ....

My kid is happy and probably wont be playing in HS.

        Yes, I answered your sarcasm

The poster's kid has to make the DA/GDA team first.

Pre-academy teams (where the kids can play high school and other sports) are less stringent and play in tourneys such as Jeff Cup, etc. May be able to participate in State Cups, but not sure.

Not true, bad weather (ice and other dangerous conditions) will cause practice to be cancelled. Nobody wants kids/parents getting hurt getting to or from practice.

Btw - did you include the cost information for the "inquisitive" poster? Didn't see it posted or asked.

And that would be sad and a waste of some really good talent.
This is exactly what has been happening to teams at FC Bucks for years. Things aren’t run well and people leave. The roster numbers are poor for our older teams. Those teams started off strong at U14, and now have limited numbers. Look at the game reports from last season, the roster numbers were scary low. Nothing better than traveling to Massachusetts with 12 kids for two games. People start questioning the time and cost involved and realize it can’t be worse at other places.

The costs at Penn Fusion, FC Delco and FC Bucks are all about the same. Some places you get
                more for the money.

The coverage the club provides is the parent coach. Sure they provide a paid bucks coach to stand on the sidelines, but this coach doesn’t know the kids. So in fact the person coaching when RF can’t make it is BB.

Going back to May last year until present RF has missed five games. We have lost four of the five. Going back to last fall and the results are the same we lose most of the games BB coaches. Clearly the parent coach aspect is not working.

A staff of coaches would benefit this team and all the teams.
ECNL requires a staff of coaches/ FC Bucks in its invite email when you make an ECNL team, promises a staff of coaches, yet all they really provide is 1 coach for 1 team

I feel like we have more turf field options now. I don't understand why we don't practice 3 nights a week with all the coaches together. Someone made a good point about the coaches getting to know all the players, and when they have to fill in for a coach that is absent the kids and coaches know each other. This makes sense and doesn't seem like it would be hard to make happen. Can CF and DM set this up and should we have been doing this all along?

DA coaches on the boys side are still coaching with out "REQUIRED" certifications, most of GDA is from NPL only a year or two ago. Yes, parent coaches abound in their world too. Practices are supposed to be 4x per week, but most only do 3x (same as most other premier clubs). Feedback and evals vary by team (not even club) and most are not worth the paper they are written on .... coaches write them in the respect that they coach .... the same way most coach ... not to say they are out to get kids, but we have all seen that the top 3 or 4 kids can do boneheaded things repeatedly with no success and it warrants a "good try", a "Next time", or an "unlucky", but all of the other kids do the same thing once and get a "Needs to be better", "what other options did you have?", or "Timmy, you can not do that". In what vein do you think the evals are written for each player? It's soccer. Don't get enamored with the patch or the organization that backs them. Find a club with a strong reputation for development, close to home, a host of good coaches (as yours will change every so often), with reasonable prices and roster sizes, and jump in and stop worrying.

                          $3300

Sure they cancel practice in snow storms but at least they are still practicing 2-3 nights indoors on turf during the winter months.

Not true, our local club teams (DA and GDA) mostly go once a week from Dec-Early March) have many kids on each field (about 20-30 minutes conditioning off field of the 90) and occasionally get in a extra practice here and there (maybe every other week) when the league schedule on weekends is light). Indoor space is tight in our neck of the woods and lots of teams/clubs willing to pay to get it.

It makes a lot of sense and would solve the problem of having a parent coach. A parent coach wouldn’t be needed to cover for RF if their were other coaches who knew the kids and were able to coach them.

We should absolutely be practicing three times a week - when you average 1.5 times a weeks it is hard to compete against the teams that practice three times .

Remember DM, CF, and BB are all on the board together. There is not a lot of incentive for BB to make this happen as that would mean he could no longer be on the sidelines.

DM and CF would actually have to show some leadership and initiative for this to happen- sadly it’s not likely they will. But it would be a great thing for Bucks to do.
