They actually went and formed an entire new league just because everyone can’t stand MM, the EDP director! That’s some cold blooded stuff right there!! Lol!!

EDP used to be exclusive 10-15 years ago, now they will take anyone’s money and make 15 divisions if enough people sign up. Acela came around, but now they let in three times as many clubs into the top division too. So now whatever this league is the new super mega ultra exclusive league. Then, because they also like money, the same thing will happen. The cycle is just more rapid now.

Wayne, PA, March 20, 2023 – The Atlantic Premier Soccer League (APL) is expanding its Acela League platform for fall of 2023. The expanded Acela League will be focused on the Zone 1 ages of Under 8 to Under 12 Boys and Girls Teams. The league will offer only a 1st and 2nd level of play and strive to be the most player centric league in the market.
We are pleased to announce the commitment of eight (8) of the most recognized clubs in our market as inaugural members: FC DELCO, FC Europa, Lehigh Valley United, Lower Merion SC, PA Rush, Penn Fusion SA, Sporting Delaware and Ukrainian Nationals.

So this new league is apparently tossing aside the "birth year" mandate for purposes of formulating a team. "
Bio-banding will now be used. "Bio-banding is a method by which players are grouped together based on their maturity and biological age rather than their birth year. During the fall of 2019, U.S. Soccer’s Youth National Team sport scientists visited each of the participating clubs. There they measured the height and weight of each player alongside the biological height of their parents. This information was put into an algorithm that calculates the biological and maturational age of each player, allowing coaches to construct their rosters accordingly."
Interesting..so now parents will have to provide their height and weight at tryouts.............
