I am amazed the PF web page includes game statistics for kids who have gone on to college. Does it really indicate how much they play?

Go to D1 schools? How many kids that play soccer get to play in D1? The percent of non soccer players in D1 is a lot higher than soccer players for sure and truth be told have as much chance of playing as some of these kids being highlighted on these clubs websites.

Get a grip there are maybe a dozen kids in this area who are truly top level and would fit that dream you had for your kid.

Btw. a year or two ago i was watching Nova vs. VA Tech game on TV, out of 22 players on the field, 7 were PF girls. So yes, PF kids play in D1. Most of the girls that are heading to Ivy's are freshman starters.

You only play at the D1 level if you play. Doesn't count if all you do is enter stats to a spreadsheet or carry the water bucket.

The website only indicates the kid plans on attending the school and nothing else.

Funny part is go look at the list of the colleges of the kids these players go to HS with who have zero athletic ability. Would blow these soccer kids schools out the water.

About 15% of Harvard students play varsity sport which is about 3 times more than admission rate. Sayin that, if your kid is playing any sport on high level and she/he is the same level academically with a kid that doesn't, she/he has a about 3 times bigger chance getting into Harvard than non athlete kid. The same goes for Princeton and Yale.

people are foolish if they think delco will build your daughter's skillset. Girls that begin with the program or are brought in and favored and put on a pedestal when they are in say 8th/9th grade will be replaced or on the second string by the time they are sophomores/juniors. Instead of figuring out why their teams aren't more successful, (maybe it's the poor training or the lack of camaraderie?); delco's solution is to bring on new talent from other clubs that they feel will help them look good, (and this happens especially with teams that aren't winning games). And the sad part is, when they do bring in new players nothing changes, the outcome is the same, they still lose games and then they start the process all over again. This is why there are always new girls at practices throughout the season. Watch. These coaches want to move on to bigger and better things too and need to produce a successful team. Don't fool yourselves. And for coaches and management that lie to players and families when they double roster players and have them believe it is possible they will ever play on the ecnl team is horrible. They know what they are doing and parents shouldn't accept it and move on to a club that shows they actually care about the development of their children.

Agreed- Delco does not develop players, instead, they stalk skilled players' social media accounts in the hopes of recruiting them. Then once they got them they demote their own players that they supposedly "trained". These new players that come will eventually fall behind as they will not get good training at Delco-look at the older teams-enough said.

Do you really think Delco or any club is out patrolling sidelines looking for the next best thing? This simply does not take place anywhere. Now if a family initiates the conversation EVERY club listens.
