So a director told a team of kids this info before an official announcement with all the details? That's even worse lol.

So a coach told a team of kids information which hasn't been officially announced by all parties? LOL ok then. Sounds like said coach is saything things to keep kids and families in place to help prevent them from bailing the sinking ship...

Not correct whoever said that. My son's team was told the ladder. This was told in good faith to keep players from leaving with tryouts starting in a few weeks.

was it a 6 foot or 8 foot ladder?

Sporting got the MLS Next badge already, it was mentioned at the broad meeting. It’s awaiting confirm on reassignment of its GA badge from Sporting DE. Should be just paperwork at this point. Sporting will be the “name & organization structure” of the PA clubs, including Radnor

Yes I thought it was very odd that FCE posted their zone 2 when LMSC has even written in their email zone 1 tryouts it would be another 10 days for them to come out with zone 2 information assuming because of the merger

100%. I think Europa is in a tailspin and not very organized. Make Biff & Co look like administrative geniuses

At LMSC, we were told this is the reason Zone 2 tryouts have not been announced yet, pending further developments in the merger. Not sure why Europa is blasting out a half baked plan. They won’t look good with their players when it develops further. Our coach said Sporting is all owned by the same ownership team. They need access to larger player pools to support their applications for various leagues so Sporting DE won’t be left with nothing. It’s just expanding their base into PA.

Penn Fusion and Sporting PA are awaiting word if they are getting MLS. Both have applied. Numerous teams in the area have applied to ECNL…. FC Europa, Ukies, Etc. All are seeing how everything unfolds in the next couple weeks. Stay tuned.

You can spin it anyway you want, the bottom line is benchmark for acceptance of new clubs in the ECNL conference should be competitiveness with the 3-4 top conference teams across multiple ages. Adding any club below that threshold is waste of time and resources.
