People are leaving because they don’t like the training and are tired of the lies they are told. If people do stay they are staying for the ECNL patch. That’s it. And then pay outside the club for the better training.

Many Delco coaches do not have soccer coaching licenses and they don't have enough coaches. The training is awful with Delco.

Random & anonymous soccer parent starts shade-throwing thread about girls youth soccer team.... sounds like a headline from The Onion. That is one sad lonely little onion.

Delco 09 parent here confirming that our team did not carry any trapped 08 players this fall season. Roster this season was already maxed out. Opting not to respond to some of the other digs on this thread. Good luck to all this spring season.

I do not know the 09 team, but we are new to the 2011 team this year and I have no complaints about the training, but we may move on as the environment overall is bad. Parents on our team don't get along, parents from the upcoming RL team purposely talk trash about girls on our team in hearing distance, the complaints about coaching and playing time are non-stop. Our former club had some parents who were obnoxious to refs and opposing teams, but there was almost no intra-team fighting or even intra-club fighting with our 2nd team from what I saw. I don't think it is just our age group either at Delco.

Tryout season is upon us and to nobody's surprise there will be some players on EVERY team who will be trying out for one or more OTHER teams for any of a number of reasons in their current situation -- playing time, positional fit, coaching, training, drive time, flexibility to play other sports. As parents we all want for our players the best possible environment. That means different things for different players & families, so tryout season should certainly be used to explore other clubs and opportunities and it shouldn't be viewed as a negative or dirty thing. It's a personal process for every player based on their academic goals, soccer career goals, degree of time commitment, desire to play other sports... oh AND maybe a desire to actually have a teenage social life! There wouldn't be literally dozens of soccer clubs with varying levels of competitiveness all coexisting between Philadelphia and Allentown if this wasn't the case. Debating over "better" and "best" is a matter of personal preference and perspective, so it is not a productive exercise. Hoping everyone pursues and finds what is best for their families this tryout cycle. - Delco parent

You don’t have to worry about ECNL playoffs interfering with your kid’s social life this summer.
