It's early in the college season, but looking at local (SE PA) class of 22 commits, appears that USYS players are seeing the field while ECNL recruits are not, in those cases where one of each on a team. Just goes to show the badge, and all of the preconceived elite status, means nothing at the next level.

Anyone who thinks it matters at next level is beyond clueless. It’s a totally clean slate. Since ECNL is typically best league you’d expect those players will contribute but it’s no guarantee ever. ECNL strictly helps in that there’s better competition and should make you better, as well as better coaching (in theory not saying right or wrong). ECNL can be the best play to get ready for college and be seen, but once you step foot on campus, it means jack s***.

You could argue that ECNL probably places a lot of kids who really aren't even that good, but coaches get lazy with recruiting.
When it comes to money, there isn't a lot to go around anyway so a lot of these big announcements you read about are just nothing more than an announcement. Most involve no money and no assurances of playing time.

Getting on a roster is only the beginning. Lots of players won't be on a roster by junior year. Many quit, transfers, decide to move on, persistent injuries, new coach doesn't like them. Many reach too far. Good targeting is critical for success.

Well duh, they should be winning those age groups, those 2 clubs have the largest drawing areas. The joke will be on the parents buying into now and claiming "our team has the 7 best players in PA/NJ" when half (or more) will be gone in 3-4 years. Life comes at you fast.

No one is going anywhere from these teams. They are already top talent picked up at the young age.
Btw. Penn Fusion drawing area is much smaller than Fc Delco, Bucks or PSC. The difference is parents are willing to drive because they know is worth the hassle.

Fc Delco is closer to my home than PF, PSA not that far either, Bucks, Ukies, you name it all in 45 min drive. All these teams can pick any of the PF players, if they want to leave.
I don’t want to sound pretentious, but that is how is now, it may change in few years who knows.
