Teams/clubs that allow parent assistant coaches..

    Even when a parent coach is qualified, to the club it's usually not worth the blowback from other parents. Even when a parent coach goes out of their way to not be biased in any way, parents will still think the coach is biased.

      This person probably then has less influence than the board member whose kid plays who hires the HC. Or the close friend of the board member and so on. Especially if they are a higher experience coach than what we all normally see peddling influence.
      As long as it's a rare thing and the parent assistant isn't a regular sideline feature its ok. If a coach is running late and a game is supposed to start you need some adult in charge
