    Looking forward to StonyBrook/LGN SC

Larry Miller has for some reason decided he didn't want this merger to work, and is having a genuine toddler size meltdown over the fact he actually has no power.

This merger is likely to improve player base to keep a couple competitive teams at each age group. That is wht they are looking to do. Don't believe Larry when he tells you that tons of players are heading for the door. the only ones leaving in numbers are going to be the KK players, who never really joined SB anyway, and where are they going to go anyway? Follow Kurt to another parasitic relationship? what other club would let him near them after his track record of leeching off others and giving nothing in return.
The very small percentage of parents who aren't satisfied with continuation of club soccer experience being offered at SB/LGN SC still free to chase their options anywhere else. Good luck, I hear their kid is going straight to the SUSA A team...

You know it's not good when an SB board member has to post anonymously to promote this ridiculous merger. He sounds like a used car salesman.

YES! Larry's Backtheneck is a complete joke, just like him, and almost immediately Larry Miller will start the Shlitzposting on this thread to prove it!

BTW, Larry's pizza party with young boys in G string thongs feeding him grapes is going to be a BIG scandal, you heard it hear first.

This is Larry Miller himself, and I'll have you know there was absolutely NO pizza at my party with young boys in G string thongs feeding me grapes. I am sick and perverted but not THAT sick....

Oh look, there is Larry already! He knows his blog is useless, so he comes to a real blog, instead of finally taking a shower for the month...

Everywhere you look, town clubs have tried partnerships or bringing on outside organizations to boost their credibility in hopes to solve the problems of fewer kids everywhere. Where has this approach worked at all? Every one of those solutions doesn't decrease the number of clubs. Finally, a solution that will decrease the number of clubs around, helping to balance the loss of kids overall on LI. Hopefully town clubs all over are watching, and will perhaps get the idea that this is what will ultimately be needed everywhere for the local town club to survive.

The local town clubs have to know that upper level soccer is not their Niche. It will never ever be (not when academy (for profit clubs are out there like barca, susa, LISC, ect).

The Niche that local town clubs should be strengthening is fun and fundamentals for a kid perhaps around 4 or 5 to get their start and perhaps run through to about age 10. By 10, if the kid is any good, they will look elsewhere as is all most always the case.

The problems with this merger are it was done secretly without any input from the members. A few SB board members have their kids playing at LGN and voted on the merger. Clear conflict of interest. SB board demoted our DOC and gave that position to the LGN DOC along with half the board positions. SB did not need to do this deal and certainly did not need to give up as much as it did.

100% agree with you. The problem is every parent thinks their kid is a star and the for profit organizations are all to willing to stroke their egos and take their money. It is a shame that the fun of playing with your schoolmates/friends and the pride of playing for your town no longer exists. Adults are the enemy of youth sports.

It seems almost criminal what was done. SB is at the beginning of the end. They killed it!

You have no idea how much SB has just grown and improved in quality of teams. You will find out soon I guess...

SB no longer exists and you fools tied your anchor to a sinking ship.
