    SUSA Albertson teams

How does SUSA ECNL incorporate the players from Albertson into their ECNL team? Roughly, how many of the Albertson girls are invited to join the ECNL team? Do most of them make the ECRL team?

    There are still Albertson teams?

      They don't. Albertson is SUSA's b**ch.

So then what is the OP asking about?

OP: Yes SUSA and Albertson merged a while back. My question is whether Albertson girls formed an ECRL team collectively or were individually sorted into ECNL/ECRL/Navy/Carolina etc?

No merger, SUSA straight up bought Albertson so they could have boys ECNL to go with the girls just like East Meadow.

There is no hard fast answer. Meaning it depends on the talent of the current Susa A team girls, and if the Susa A team is devoid of talent at a specific position(s).
the teams will combine at u12.
In history, not many/ any Albertson girls would make it to the Susa u12 ecnl team. Parent politics do play a part contrary to what some may say and player bench spots will be sparse.
lately the talk has been that they will form a black/white structure. Not ideal for a kid who would have a better opportunity on another club.

Is there really a higher percentage of players that get accepted to D1&D2 schools that play ECNL. Its very pricey and you have to travel far for games. Im sure there are plenty of excellent players that cant afford an ECNL league and all the travel that goes along with it that are playing in EDP and GA
The fact that so much emphasis is put on ECNL is crazy. I know kids that are amazing players and have never tried out for these ECNL clubs because A. They cant afford it or B. They dont want to commit to the crazy travel or C. Because its their first kid playing in competitive soccer and they have/had no idea about this tiered world.
Why dont thwy let these ECNL teams consistently play against EDP or GA so you can really see the competition. A game here or there in a tournament tells nothing. Or maybe its bc then the ECNL leagues won't be able to charge as much....

I don't really know what you are saying. All of these leagues are businesses and ECNL is at least delivering on the pipeline to college recruiting and exposure. It's not perfect by any means, and you don't need ECNL if you are willing to put in more effort to be recruited. But also don't be delusional and think you are going to get recruited to D1 P5 playing in EDP when ECNL exists in your area.

Are they delivering because people pay an astronomical amount to use their connections or because they really are the best players in the state....
Money and pipe dreams ruin it for those that just want to organically and fairly compete. Put all the best players no matter what ECNL EDP GA ECRL and town they play for and see who really is the best.
Money always wins unfortunately and those without it or just thinks its ridiculous to pay it are left out.

Unless you live more than a two hour drive from an MLS NEXT team, playing in any other league is a waste of time. Example, if you live in parts of Texas, there might be a point to playing on an ECNL team. If you live in Southern NY, it is a waste of time. Be honest - the ECNL teams in NY just aren't that good and any good player will be recruited to NYCFC or Red Bulls or at worst one of the lesser MLS Next teams.

I believe you are referring to boys solely.
I can speak on the girls side, and there is a drastic drop off from ecnl to ga LIjsl etc.

further more on Long Island, within the last 5 years or so, all of the best high school teams have been composed of a vast majority of ecnl/rl players. Nearly all of the non NL/RL girls don’t even receive playing time in school.

Talking about girls side, I think it's a resource issue from the college side as well. College coaches have limited budgets and time, so they aren't going to be scouting at lower level leagues. They will attend ECNL (and to a lesser and lesser degree GA) showcases regularly and consider that to be a proving ground for being able to compete in college. If you aren't in those leagues, then you have to jump through hoops to get noticed basically. Motivated and talented players can still make things happen, but just like graduating from a good college, you are more likely to get an interview over someone who doesn't have the same credentials.

It's not a perfect system and all the national travel isn't really necessary, but if your aspiration is to play in college, then that is the best place for exposure, assuming you are not a benchwarmer and actually play.

Are you insane? In Nassau, there is 1 ECNL club, and each age division has 1 ENCL team and 1 RNCL team, at most 35-40 girls combined in each age group. There are 56 High School soccer teams in Nassau county, with an average of 19 Players per team. That's 1064 varsity players alone, and you say ENCL/RCNL players are the only ones that receive playing time? That is one hell of a Kool-Aid you are drinking there.

I agree that statement is ridiculous and clearly a parent paying too much for ECNL Heres another you drank the kool aid slap in the face for you
Most kids on that ECNL team arnt making to it D1 or D2
The 15 yo that just got signed from Michigan played for Elite64
If you're that good you'll be discovered other wise the 1% that olay for ECNL and made it to D1 got lucky amd even then that's where soccer ends. Then you need a regular job that pays good money.
                              good luck out there folks.
