Addition by subtraction over there. Screening players when tryouts haven't started means disappointed kids in June and new rosters in fall. At the rate they been turning out garbage teams, they might finally get it right this year by replacing everyone and getting the best nassau girls from susa/lisc etc into the club. Anytime scholarships and free play comes into the mix it can be a game changer. My guess will be only the kids who's daddy is on the em board will not be cut. If cleaning house is the only way to survive then desperate measures is the way.

HAHA ... open roster positions? They should all be open, especially when you are a garbage club full of garbage teams!! If Ronaldo's 15 year old stud striker, daughter came in they couldnt take her because forwards are locked up on that team? haha what a joke. They shouldn't list anything other than open tryouts, all players welcome! Listing "Elite Athletes Only" and specific leagues that players should be from?! EMSC deserves the lot they have creted for themselves with such nonsense. They should be happy if anyone new shows up at tryouts for any age!

EMSC is an overpriced LIJSL club. There parents pay for elite coaching to end up in last place. Then they replace your kids in secret back room deals with outside parents paying them extra to include there kids in the next year line up, 2 years later they refresh and recycle again. Give Cartier, Gonzalez and Macguinness donation moneys and your child will be safe for another year.

Who cares. If you don't like what's going on then take your kid elsewhere. There will always be kids trying out to come to EM, so we won't ever have a shortage of kids to roster.

Invitations are already trickling across to new families. Top EMSC players already know they are safe while the number is up for kids playing in the advertised roster positions. That's just how the game is played at that level. Shell out your cash or ship out. How are scholarships awarded there? Any idea how many per team?

EM girls tryouts looked like it was a bust. Boys tryouts happening now. I think they lost more players than they gained and offers were sent out to worse players from lower leagues. Scraping the bottom of the pit and that will show in the standings next season. All the scholarships and bribing to get a spot and EM still cannot have a good Soccer team to represent Nassau county.
