What's this rumor going around about?

Yeah, maybe three non-relevant clubs can do the trick. What’s delightfully not mentioned is Johan Jumiors which EC merged with a year ago and that was only after they pillaged Franklin Square of their 7-10 year olds. That was their pipeline.

Good luck with numbers and finding talent when you don’t have a school district steering lil Messi”s their way. Just ask Sesa, Surf, and EC.

Basically the same deal Surf had with KK when Surf first hit LI...you can see how well that worked out, lol.

So Surf 04's are aging out, 05 and 06's are two of the best teams around consistently making National finals in the USYS National League, 07's are very strong and the 08 and 09 teams are not competitive yet. Add now the 09 East Coast Chelsea team which is very strong along with multiple 2010-2014 teams via East Coast and Sesa and Surf has built a pipeline for their program. Addtionally East Coast now has a National league to offer the youngers when they go full field. Key thing will be how Surf/EC handle the existing girls for each club- there will need to be some collateral damage from this.

Honestly, who cares? these are 3 small-time clubs that could not do anything on their own. Why merge if you are succesful? SURF has been around for years and accomplished nothing, EC is as shady as SESA. 3 small clubs that still will have no league status of the higher levels and will still lose all their top girls to EM and SUSA ECNL programs.

My D has had some friends play at Surf...maybe not the best fit for top tier talent, but a pretty good option for girls that are looking for D2 or lower level D1 options. Costs less than LISC, probably the same level play as GAL, less travel, I'm not going to hate on it. Having decent options is good.

No one is going to EM. Mainly cause Ruari is terrible.

The top tier surf team is grasping to win. Not develop players.
then the lesser B teams are just a money grab.
If your not on the A team RUN FAST.

Jon Feinstein is a freak. Ever wonder why he is not coaching women's soccer anymore? who gives up a full-time job in college with benefits for little kiddie soccer unless you asked to leave because you're a bold freak?

Let’s not pretend that this is a development academy.
these kids are just numbers. They will take the best players and increase the wins for the top teams. The B teams will stay there (maybe they are happy) ...if you found a team your kid is happy with that is a win. BUT this is a numbers game to make a move up in league brand ...these kids are mostly too old to see (so they are numbers)
....and it is not going to help the brand of soccer for LI
