Not a lot of ECNL or GA teams at Jeff Cup showcase this year but we did get 50 head to head matches. Take away from it that you want. I included any RL team that played against a GA team only if they were in the top 2 brackets and I also included newly minted GA club Keystone.

70% of games were won by 2 or less goals or tied
Games won by 3 or more goals went 7 for ECNL vs 8 for GA
ECNL had some very good clubs, most teams are top 1/3rd in their conference but not all
GA had some very good clubs each with good teams and bad, most in top half of conference though

My biggest take away was that several local GA clubs can and should be apart of local ECNL. While they may nor consistently win vs ECNL teams the local GA clubs tend to keep it competitive even more so than a few of the worst clubs currently in ECNL.

No ECNL clubs will register for that..

This makes no sense. All the ECNL clubs have been playing showcases vs GA for 2 years, so obviously they're not avoiding them.

Just looking at 2007s:
SUSA played FCV, CSA Bergen and SDA this year.
PDA Blue has played FCV.
PF has played FCV a couple of times, STA, CSA, Nationals
WC this year has played TSJ FCV, Ukrainians, STA and SJEB.
MFA has played Ukrainians, STA, Nationals, CSA Bergen

Of all the GA clubs, those are the two that DONT belong. I could see STA, Ukrainains and NYSC way before Real or Cedar Stars.

CSA would do well across the board in ECNL, but Real only has one good team the 06s.

No one is. How about the obsession from those who feel the need to prove the ECNL is better?

Those are top ECNL teams and have no reason to avoid GA teams. It's the Delco, Bucks, PDA South, Pipelines who will avoid GA teams. Also, when you register for a showcase you have little say in who you play (unless you are hosting). But would you really register for an event called GA v ENCL, hosted by a GA club who obviously are out to prove they are equal to ECNL?
