I agree with you 100%. The players are good, but they don't know how to play 11v11. If you are thinking of going to STA, beware that they will not develop your child. Especially Kelly, she is a scoundrel in all the sense of the word. Everything is about business development to her.

STA beat Penn Fusion when the win didn't matter to PF. They qualified for the next round regardless.

This is an odd perspective. The PF coach was not pleased at all to lose to STA, especially at their own tournament, on their home field in front of the Doc.

and how do you know the PF coach was not pleased. Many clubs try new things and use the game as practice when the win when doesn't matter. It's call coaching, something STA knows nothing about.

Well Kelly chased the 09s out of STA and they ran to Crush tryouts! Over 100 players at Crush tryouts tonight and my D was one of them!

ummm... ok There were 6 groups of 5 on 5 for the entire hour. There were another group of less than 10 working with goalies. so if you dont think its fake news, you failed 5th grade math..

Seems like a threatened MFA post…closest club to STA - their 08s stink, their 09s are down the shore and their 10s haven’t been doing great lately…not surprised that parents look at STA as a viable option if they live on this area

There are many options out there. It's important for parents to understand that having a ECNL, GA etc label will not get a player very far unless you have a quality coach. STA finally reached the status of making the Champions League in the GA. Then made a drastic change. Instead of developing the entire team, Kelly focused on a few players and worked harder on recruiting rather than development of everyone. She refused to bring the team together as a team and took the lazy approach to the pointless team bonding events. The teams fight on the field with each other.

You're telling me that PF was ok with losing to a GA team in their own showcase? I don't know about your kids but mine can't stand to lose a pick-up game in practice let alone a an actual game against an other team.

Why do people feel it's OK to openly attack women coaches calling them out by name and just openly run smear campaigns against them. Mean while they don't do this to male coaches even when they deserve it. It's hard enough as it is to work in a male dominated profession to add to that you have these cowards anonymous posters just dedicate their time to post lies about them. When a man is ambitious it's good but when a woman does the same it's greedy. We have to support women in coaching positions if we really believe in a society that provides equal opportunity. Treat your coaches the way you would want people to treat your daughters.

What next round? These were showcase games there was no next round. It truly shows you have no idea what's going on.
