With all due respect, you guys are talking about 09 and 08s. Jeff cup showcase a college recruiting tourney. In the key recruiting years (U16 / U17), I count 9 of 24 non-ecnl in the u17 top two flights, and 11 of 32 non-encl in u16.

ECNL participation does drop in the HS years because they focus on the ECNL events with much greater coach turnout. It is a critical event for non ECNL or even non GA teams for recruiting, but you need to be in top brackets. If you can get in those top 2 brackets and hold your own that says a lot. Being in the E bracket not so much
