Credit given for sure for playing some ECNL and RL teams but 7-0 against a mid tier ECNL program. Come on man! Tells you all you need to know about the depth of the all stars on that team and the capabilities right now. Blaze is a boutique club that will always be stuck in third gear.

Col Rapids were blown out in all 3 matches, no place being in top division. Nationals are solid, but lost to an average Windy City team who was dominated by PF in the final (I didn't see it, but heard it wasn't as close as 3-0 looks). I saw part of Top Hat vs. PF and that looked like a mid tier EDP level team wearing Top Hat jerseys. PDA and Match Fit are very even with PF at this age so things look bright for the Jersey gals at 2011.

With all due respect, you guys are talking about 09 and 08s. Jeff cup showcase a college recruiting tourney. In the key recruiting years (U16 / U17), I count 9 of 24 non-ecnl in the u17 top two flights, and 11 of 32 non-encl in u16.

ECNL participation does drop in the HS years because they focus on the ECNL events with much greater coach turnout. It is a critical event for non ECNL or even non GA teams for recruiting, but you need to be in top brackets. If you can get in those top 2 brackets and hold your own that says a lot. Being in the E bracket not so much

Being in last bracket in Jeff Cup is a complete waste of time. Which coaches to watch that? GA events get hundreds upon hundreds while Jeff Cup what a handful of D1? It’s not what it used to be sadly.

Because D1 coaches primarily hit up ECNL and GA. Jeff Cup is good for players looking at lower programs, but yes you still want to be in the top brackets.

Wanted to fix it for you “Because D1 coaches primarily hit up ECNL.”
Btw. Ukies are leaving GA to play in ECRL next season.

Smart move, they can see the writing on the wall with GA which is a shadow of what the old GDA was. GA is basically EDP 2.0.

It’s run by Richmond United who is ECNL. Clearly they favor the ECNL teams.

And for good reason. ECNL were the better teams.

If you look at the u14 age group. What GA team do you think got slighted as far as the flight it played in?

Yup and Ukies bailed on the tournament week before but they were in 2010 top flight too, so whats your point?
