    Town Teams

Any good town teams out there who play at a high level? Just looking for it to be fun, without a lot of travel or expensive dues but looking for major D1 exposure.

You must pay to play these days. Pay big bucks for ECNL, pay for travel, pay for ID clinics, pay for private training.....pay pay pay pay pay.

Then they will tell you the D1 players all had amazing talent.

Wall is a great one if your in the area. Their 05 and 06 can play with any other NJ academy (especially the other local ones) and they are also a much better value for $$$.

Not sure what’s more ridiculous. The question or the people that actually answer it. Keep it up though. It’s good. I hope this goes on for pages.

Drink that Wall cool aid! Their best players have left or are leaving.

Do a town team until 9th or 10th grade. If skilled enough, go get the exposure in ECNL/GAL

Lol no one is moving from a town team to a top league that late.

Sorry pops. No one is going D1 from a town team. Even if they had the world's best coach, the level of competition is wholly insufficient to pipe them for college soccer.

By then there are literally zero skilled players on town teams. You think Wall has any left? They all left to CSA, PDA Shore etc……too late to stick around on a low level town team that late in process.

By that age you are way behind on the development curve if you've only been playing town. Not only have all the better players left town by then and the competition terrible, but you're competing for a spot against kids that have played clubs for a few years. Most town kids leave town programs u10-u12 or so, play at intermediate levels for a few years, then the cream rises to the top in 8th into 9th grade as the top teams solidify their rosters. The few players that do crack an ECNL or GAL roster past 9th grade will have been playing at some club 99% of the time. The rare exceptions would be kids that make terrible teams and most likely won't even play.

                              not the op
