A question here: when the offer was made, it stated the roster size is 18-20 (2006 boys) and now the roster is 27. Of course now the club has collected all the payments. Is there a way to get our money back? We feel we're being lied to.

ECNL, GA, MLSN all allow max roster of 30. That Elite Acadmy one may be a bit less, but unfortunately its pretty widespread that they are all at least allowed to do this, by league rules. Poster would need it in writing from a club official that the team would never roster over 20 and I am not sure if thats enough or if it would have to specifically tie the offer to the roster size. The one good thing is most soccer club people are total idiots and they rarely know how to read or construct contracts and virtually none are smart enough to have a lawyer review their offers before they go out.

Roster of 27? Who in their right mind would join a team with that large of a roster. OP was duped. Did it start at 18-20 then start growing? Or was it 27 from the get go after they got their $$$. Same crap is happening at my kids club. Live and learn. Once our commitment is over, we are out.
