That’s an assumption your making based on your own prejudices. What one dreams of and reality are two separate things. Proximity to home and in state tuition along with an athletic scholarship to play P5 soccer could be a dream come true to these young ladies. And now add on playing in the championship cup and it looks like a good choice.

Is Rutgers paying you to advertise? Some dad thinks he knows what young women aspire to?

Plus if the program is that good few NJ players would qualify. The state turns out very few top national level players in any year. A top nationally ranked player will have many options, many of them stronger soccer and academically than RU

Why, does it bother you that some people see Rutgers as a good first choice both academically and their soccer program? RU has a recruitment problem that many others have as well in the NE. If you read what I wrote, I said RU was a choice made for those players who wanted o stay close to home as well as financial necessity. Your talking about national team players shows your lack of understanding about why students committed to certain schools. No one thinks National team exposure that’s your mindset. RU does not get every PDA player. There are many playing in other P5 conferences incl Big Ten schools. As far as what a young women aspires that’s between them and their family. The same way these PDA young women aspired to play at RU. Maybe one day you will experience & understand why people make the choices in what college they choose to accept as a student/athlete.

Have you seen college commitment lists from NJ academy soccer clubs? Please try to convince me many girls grew up dreaming of many of these schools. I’m sure many of us have no idea where many of them are.
Rutgers offers a big school feel with 255 years of tradition. RU is a top choice for many NJ natives. It’s strong academically & has a strong sports program.
              Congrats to the RU kids.

Hahaha true. He obviously has no job so could likely use the funds.
