Why does the top bracket have so many teams?

Other age group top flights have even more. I dont know why they dont split them in half. They even have a 2011 team top flighted in 2010. EDP needs to do better with this stuff.

Looks like it has 11. 10 is normal. IMO PSA North and even Matchfit Shore don’t belong. MF Shore likely getting consideration because of their superior 2011 and 2009 teams. Club probably lobbying saying their committed to getting this age group to that level as well. PSA North has been a mid table team in a lower flight. They won’t hang with this flight. Yes there is a 2011 team in this top flight but they went 9-0 in the next flight down so while it may be a stretch playing up in the top flight, it’s easy to argue it’s deserved.

Why would they decide that now?

Good way to figure it out by having them both in the same bracket, no?

Match Fit Morris 2010s won the EDP title in the spring. They just played Match Fit Shore 2010s today and it was a a tie. So sounds like they both belong.

Yes, that’s the logical way. Unfortunately all signs point to making Shore the go forward ECNL team with their 09’s and 11’s leading the way. So a consolidation of the 2010’s once it’s ECNL time with Shore getting the slot has to be more than a real possibility.

Especially since 09/10/11 Shore teams all have the same coach.

Maybe MFS will get the 2nd ECNL badge by then

Matchfit should never have 2 ECNL badges and not even 1 unless it is Shore. Denville is so average. PDA and Matchfit are blocking other clubs in the area from getting the status. These are the reasons why ECNL and even GA will never be a top league. It's too much of a business and political game. Can you imagine actually having the top teams in the same league? Would be great.

This. Would be straight foolish to give MF a second badge, should never be considered. Talk about promoting mediocrity in this state. Need to hold these clubs more accountable, it's too easy for them to just provide the minimum of the minimum (and in some cases, even less than that).

I believe that 2010G Cedar Stars Monmouth will win the division.
Match Fit Morris will come in second place.
