The Truth About Juventus Academy Boston Boys

Juventus is a nice little club. Their younger teams seem somewhat talented. The club is a viable option for parents looking to get their children into somtheing beyond town soccer.

Juventus made a marketing decision to fully fund 2 teams to gain access to the MLS Next U13/U14 league. That is a smart move for an organization seeking validation to further grow their business. It's probably money well spent.

Parents of players on a non-MLS Next U13 or U14 team all pay an amount similar to parents at other clubs for soccer each year.

While there may be some talented players at Juventus they certainly can't field a competitive MLS Next team from their current player pool. THAT'S partially why those teams are free. They need to bring players in from other clubs if they hope to compete.

Besides the 2 non-MLS Next teams Juventus plays in EDP leagues. At U15 players that choose to stay at Juventus will play in an EDP league whether they played in MLS Next or not.

Here is how Juventus did in the EDP New England Conference against average to below average competition:

    U13 Premier Division North(2008) = 1st place
    U13 Premier Division South(2008) = 4th place

    U14 Premier Divison North(2007) = 5th & 6th places

    U15 Premier Division North(2006) = 1st, 6th & 7th places

    U16 Premier Division North(2005) = 4th, 7th & 8th places

    U17 Premier Division North(2004) = 3rd, 4th, 6th & 7th places

    U19 Premier Divison North(2002) = 5th, 6th, 8th & 9th places

The U13 Juventus Adademy Boston 2008 North Bianco team indeed went undefeated in the EDP. This team advanced to the USYS Eastern Regional Championships in New Jersey that took place June 25th - July 1st. They finished last in Bracket E with no wins an one tie. That was against EDP teams. This team is headed to MLS Next.

Pay close attention to the U15, U16, U17 & U19 teams above. After a player transitions out of MLS Next at U15 they will end up in a U15, U16, U17 & U19 league where they'll play teams from their own club multiple times per season. That isn't exactly a blueprint for elite development.

Juventus players that choose to remain in MLS Next after U14 will need to transition to another club. Those that don't will be stuck playing Juventus teams, Western United, Best FC, New England Surf and Real Boston.

Juventus is a decent option for younger players looking to increase their level of skill on the field. Once players get to high school Juventus players will need to decide if they want to get more serious about their soccer path.

If they want to play professionally they will need to make a New England Revolution MLS Next team.

If they want to play in college they will need to make a Boston Bolts MLS Next team, or potentially a local ECNL team.

With all the info provided by the OP the only thing the Juve Pom-Pom-Mom took exception to was some bizarre misunderstanding she has about the New England Revolution? At least we know the rest of the information is true. Who cares who the Juventus MLS affiliate is if it isn't the Revs. I guess Pom-Pom-Mom thinks kids will move to some other MLS market at U15 rather than play for the Bolts, Revs or Seacoast MLS academy teams.

This guy is obviously an idiot and don't know how to read correctly. The OP post is spot on with what to expect at Juventus. Also the 2009 EDS South team broke up mid season last year because the parents were fed up at loosing every game they played. They have a decent 2010 South team but that's about it for the South region.

Love it when *****holes like you reply to their own posts. So many formerly "Big" clubs are now running so scared from Juve. This thread is a prime example. Otherwise, why would you take the time to complain about the club on TS so frequently. Just the fact that you created the 10th currently running thread about Juve on TS says it all. And you typed out a lengthy post full of misinformation that obviously your tiny mind and fat fingers took way too long to create. Don't fret though, my very little man, Juve will soon be coming for your club soon (if it hasn't already).

Can no one at Juventus Boston explain away the pedestrian overall performance in EDP and the fact the Juve teams keep having to play themselves over and over during the season? When parents get a taste of MLS Next they're never going back to Juve EDP at U15. That is literally a 3 or 4 tier demotion.

Just a curious bystander, but how do you figure? EDP is way way better than ECNL Boys, which is a joke (and everybody knows it). Poor quality league with absurd amounts of travel.

However, even though ECNL Boys is crap, didn't ALL Bolts teams completely suck in this sh*te competition?

BU13: 6th place out of 9 teams with only 10 points earned in 15 games (3 wins, 11 losses, 1 draw)

BU14: 6th place out of 9 teams with only 14 points earned in 15 games (4 wins, 9 losses, 2 draws)

BU15: 6th place out of 9 teams with only 17 points earned in 16 games (4 wins, 7 losses, 5 draws)

BU16: 7th place out of 9 teams with only 13 points earned in 16 games (3 wins, 9 losses, 4 draws)

BU17: 5th place out of 9 teams with only 20 points earned in 16 games (6 wins, 8 losses, 2 draws)

BU18/19: 9th place out of 9 teams with only 9 points earned in 14 games (2 wins, 9 losses, 3 draws) with a MASSIVE -30 goal differential. Ouch, man.

No wonder you guys are losing players like crazy.

I would take Juve's "pedestrian" performance over this garbage every day of the week.

Now how many of these players from Bolts ECNL are going to play in college? Seriously? Can they even kick a friggin ball? Be real, man.

The resounding critique of the Bolts is that the club only care about you givving them your money and also the MLS Next teams. I guess this is the proof. For god's sake how much does Bolts ECNL cost? You guys better not be charging for this crap. Probably the only reason Bolts are even still in ECNL (and haven't been asked to leave) is that FSA needs a decent game and a little bit of hope every now and then.

Moral of the story: people in glass houses...

Are the records wrong? If so there’s a simple way to prove the poster wrong show the results.
Not sure you can be mad at some one who posts something that is correct?

I know the juve guy likes his facts so there are the facts now what. All your technology your club uses means nothing if your players aren’t good. All it means is there probably a lot of rich kids there playing and spending money on stuff that isn’t going to improve your kids skill if they don’t have any to start with.
