As a reminder, FSA bought the Soccer Plus badge several years ago and actually made it WORSE than what they replaced.
How does Stars get better, they grab players from other clubs. Some parents, given the choice, would prefer not to drive further for a similar product. ECNL honk has a hard time believing that someone would leave their beloved league for something different but, it happens.

"GA is too spread out and the travel is ridiculous!!!"

"GA is too watered down and adding too many clubs!!"

Yes of course some chose the club over league. Keep in mind around here there's NEFC and SS (not as strong but solid), plus Stars. In other areas some GA teams are out right terrible, others ECNL clubs the same. I mean if you were in CT and CFC wasn't an option for you skill or location wise, and you had FSA or OW to pick from? Definitely a pick your poison situation but I'd have to say FSA wins in terms of the league level of play/competition. Both are terrible for coaching.

That's a different Keystone FC located in Northeastern PA with the decent teams.

GA travel is only slightly worse than ECNL, but you're traveling a lot to play some pretty garbage teams. THAT is the difference. Is adding more garbage teams really an improvement other than time-wise? And here one of the biggest ECNL events, PDA, is driveable so that saves families a decent chunk of $ on travel. GA never has a driveable event for NE teams

WE get it overly obsessed turd. If you don't have an ECNL team available to you, then you should just pick up tiddlywinks.

Different poster but sorry, yes as a LEAGUE ECNL is stronger than GA. What local options you have varies player to player. No one benefits from driving 4+ hours for a 6-1 game regardless of league. Always go for the best coaching and fit, but if you can play in a higher league why wouldn't you?

Let a RI club into GA and see what happens. NEFC and SSS would be hurting without the RI players in the mix.

That was because they pretty much kept the entire former S+ staff who had just ruined the previous club (and let them continue to run the girls side). FSA was stronger than S+ before the merger. It was silly!

You cant see the problem around Boston? All of the teams are a shell of what they were just a few years ago by adding too many additional "elite national league" clubs .... including their own teams (FC Stars White). Elite was elite when it was less than 80 teams total. Now between ECNL and GA alone (not to mention ECRL, DPL, and EDP NL) there are over 160 super-de-duper, uber-elite, extreme soccer clubs .... its all a $$-driven sham and our demise in international soccer is imminent as a result (ok, on the girls side since the men have never been able to crawl out from under their rock).

Not true at all. How many RI kids do you think play for select and nefc top teams in all ages?

Chicago Inter is a decent program but it’s no better than any clubs the GA added. Right now the leagues are just adding top clubs not in either league.
