How does id2 work in these parts without any regional selection event? Were the girls from MA identified and scouted by the id2 program because of performance in ECNL/GAL/Impact(?) games or did their DOC's nominate them?

I saw one post that said they scouted the National Cup, maybe just the finals, maybe more. A couple of the Stars kids used to be on other clubs that went there.

Coaches nominate and if the DOC approves, they send the recommendations to the committee. The scouts come to watch them play and the process begins. There were several stages to get to this final list. Obviously not all these players are going to go the distance, but it's a huge leg up on the competition.

Sounds like this was created cause GA and ECNL girls wanted to go to ODP but didn’t have the time or support of their USClub Soccer.

So USSC worked with ODP and created their own NT pathway.
