Jaded? Sure Yeah maybe. Also not with this club but know families who are and have been. Agree that there’s a lot of paranoia and some general weird behavior within that club as with probably any of the clubs mentioned here. What do you want to know specifically - why do they still have ECNL? They can field teams and it’s a geographically well placed club for the MA/RI families. No they don’t do terribly well but they field (mostly) competitive teams and are a decent option for ECNL seekers who don’t want to/can’t drive to Lancaster.Originally posted by Guest View PostComment

My daughter lives in south Shore and has friends on Scorpions ECNL who enjoy it. We want to join them. It’s just a soccer team. Don’t over analize it. We also have friends on FcStars who hate it. Everyone is different.Comment

This here ^^^^ This here is the problem with club soccer. It's NOT just soccer. It's an investment at this level. First and foremost it's about the COACH at younger ages, no one should ever join a team because their friends are there or because of a badge. You should be looking at the coach, who will develop your daughter, you will help her grow as a player. I'm not going to weigh in on the Scorpions on this aspect but that is what you should be looking at. Most likely your coach will be NR, find about about him and if you think HE is a good fit. Nothing more, nothing less but it certainly is NOT just soccer. Stay where you are if this is your opinionOriginally posted by Guest View PostComment
