    The Girls 2020 Thread

We knew something was up when our newest addition was a real kicker in the womb. Sure enough, she's got a couple of real active feet and is showing some real determination. She's get together with a couple of other kids in her daycare and they've formed a pretty formidable partnership. It's evident they've started to channel what the other is doing and understanding how to play between the spaces. So far they are dominating the rest of the school, even a team full of kindergarteners.

We've talked to a couple of other parents and are thinking of keeping them together as they grow. Does anyone have any suggestions on a good program that will train the group collectively so they can learn to win now? We want to train them to be winners and then leverage the lot of them for a club to take them together (currently 5, recruiting a sixth). We are currently playing a 2-1-2 alignment and our backs are so active, not even using a goalie at this time.

Also, we heard that we should stop our heading practices? Truth? We aren't using real soccer balls, that would be silly. We use a semi-deflated volleyball and some are coming along nicely.

I failed to mention we chose the Fab Five specifically to use player born within the first 3 months of 2020 so we could ensure they would be the biggest and baddest players in their age group and that they can stick together through high school.

Smart. Wouldn't want to be a trapped 1st grader. Might make you quit the sport altogether, so Ive heard.

I'd like to offer your child a full scholarship to the waffle house down the street from Dordt University.

You aren't the first to express interest, and surely won't be the last. We've got time, no need to rush this. The parents managing this team have decided to pool resources and will ensure they go as a package deal. Surely there is no Dordt in their future based on the feelers we've already received.

Is this 09 Match Fit Shore infiltrating our friendly group?

Apparently there is a home-based daycare in the Dorchester area with a few extremely athletic toddlers. Keep an eye on them.

You can't be serious. There's no chance a team in that demographic/geographic can stick together. Club soccer wasn't built that way. Besides, we all know speed in a toddler doesn't always translate to talent at the highest levels.

I’ve seen these toddlers. They are best friends and their parents say they will never leave Kindergym Elite team for BLUE.

These kids will snub ECNL and stay together through U18/19, except for little Olivia. She’s a fall baby so will have to play with other kids.

                          3) Gymboree Saugus
                          4) Happy Smiles Daycare

Update as schools are opening up and playgrounds are filling up"

                              1) Gymboree Saugus takes over the top spot with their 6-0 thrashing of Teddy Bears Daycare (who drops off)
                              2) Stars Blue keeps the second seed. Two players already on the P5 'Watch List"
                              3) Miles of Smiles PreSchool, but this is one to watch as the kid with the thick European accent got tossed recently from the school and he was an important player
                              4) TigerMom DayCare (a new entry). Seems to be loosely affiliated with Yokohama FC and are show exceptional technique so far
                              5) Happy Smiles DayCare. A true working class team in the model of Stoke FC. They have one kid, who looks like he could be in 2nd grade already, who can clear a kitchen table with one long ball and hits it so hard, some of these younglings go running when he winds up. Once he gets fully potty trained, look out!
