You realize 90% of threads are about girls soccer right? Of course boys ECNL isn't the greatest but so are some non MLS clubs plus you can play HS with ECNL

All depends on what your local options are. Some Non MLS clubs just aren't very good. Fit and playing time matters to. Then there's the ability to play high school which matters to some. If players are happy why do you care? There's options for everyone.

The non-ECNL parent comes here to relieve their anxiety that there might be a better league out there and the ECNL clout is deserved. The ECNL parent comes here to relieve their anxiety that they are wasting time and resources on a league that is not worth it. No amount of information will rid an insecure parent of either uncertainty. Only in this case one poster was bent on trashing ECNL in totality, while another simply said "some" non MLS clubs aren't any better than ECNL. For sure if you can be at a quality MLSN club do that (assuming you'll get good PT) but not everyone has that option. Your mileage may vary.
