Only ONE team made ECNL playoffs
Lack of decent BSC Class of '22 College Commits. Virginia Union, Maryland United, VDA, FC Virginia, and Arlington all had better numbers and better schools. At least BSC outperformed Pipeline and Loudoun...
Class of '23 has zero verbal commits.
2006 ECNL Flagship team lost 2 players
2006 ECNL RL team fell apart, I think they only have 11 players committed, maybe less
2007 ECNL team absolutely blew the f- up! US Pool player left for Virginia Union..lost at least 10 players. Had to purchase OPSA just to fill ECNL rosters. In defense, the '07 parents are nuts.
2009 ECNL lost at least 3 players.
2009 ECNL RL team only has 12 committed
Haven't heard much about the 05s but guessing they lost players as well. 08s only lost one player and were the ONLY team to improve from last year.
2009 MLS Next made playoffs but are not going because too many players left for DC United and refused to go
2010 Future MLS Next team blew last year with half the team leaving
No idea on the other age groups other than many gripes about management.
I'm already hearing that Super Y has been completely mismanaged. Talk of corruption in the Board. Talk of complete lack of Club management on both Boys and Girls sides. Coaches have no respect for management, on and on...
All I can hope is the Club gets it **** together or they are going to lose our team by the end of next season, maybe even earlier. Everyone in the know, knows what the biggest problems are. Everyone knows to be successful, it has to start at the top. BSC needs to pony up and pay a take-no-**** GM to bring back respect and organization. Parents need to stop influencing coaches across the board. If no changes, the train wreck is only going to get worse and Winter break could be really bad. I know we are going to move DD this winter regardless of results, if we don't see changes.

All of this boils down to coaching or lack of. Do the coaches actually follow a coaching plan? Where would you consider going to?

There is A LOT of issues with the clubs management of connecting the players, especially on the girls side, to play at the college level. Until they figure that out, especially as the players get older, again on the girls side, players will leave for clubs that open those doors for them. The expectation for parents and players on an ECNL team is to have to opportunities with the assistance of coaches and the club, and this seems to be lacking.

Any more detail about this? How many left? What other teams lost players to the new DC United U1 team?

The 2008 girls team will improve. Got some new girls from a competing ECNL club and overall is a really solid group of families. They had been flying under the radar for awhile, this will be their breakout year.
