They are wild. They are not managed. So we should do the same with wild horses? We should cull public assistance takers as well using your logic. Shouldn’t be sending aid to India either, let covid then out the population and get rid of the weak.

Many wild and managed populations cam get out of hand. Culling is part of the process and as you said it's being responsible. Where disagreements come in is the extent of culling (eg ranhers would like all wolves to be killed) and sometimes the process. Trump signed an EO making it ok to shoot hibernating bears in caves. No one should be ok with that, especially hunters who deserve the name hunter.
