CJSA does nothing for soccer in this state. Their board is comprised of over weight dudes who never kicked a ball and soccer moms who want a say.

The president is a failed salesmen who said let me be the president of CJSA so I can get 150k a year pay day.

If they’d make smaller roster solid teams and be financially reasonable it could be nice additional training and good experience to play with other players. There’s hope for the younger groups; seeing what direction it takes this year as I heard people were trying to strengthen it. Unfortunately the director putting friends’ kids through who don’t participate waters down the legitimacy. Huge training pools with travel-level talent also scares off the better club players. Could be corrected in a few cycles though? We’ll see.

It's always better in the younger years, then the kids drop out with age because the better ones move to the top leagues. The top leagues have better training and exposure, and players have little time for other things. Also there are other training options that are a better price value. It could be salvaged if they wanted to. They don't care.

Guys, do yourself a favor and use the search feature on this site. ODP has been a disaster for a decade. The only consistency is new suckers willing to write $650 checks. Your kid plays for town premier or FSA’s second year here we are in the “Olympic” development pool. The only thing being developed here is cash flow for some of these clowns. If you want winter supplemental training, spring for some futsal. ODP hasn’t been relevant in 15 years. I’m on my third kid through youth soccer with two playing in college. Did ODP my oldest who got selected for the pools beyond CT and then it just dead ends. The bottom line is that if you trace the paths of all of the better players in CT over the past ten years they all end up top club teams. From there they get visibility for college and national team pools. NOT ODP.

Spread the word here and on the sidelines. It’s not personal for me. I played the game through college, coached and now have three kids still in it. I’m all for capitalism but watching some of these guys get into the pockets of gullible parents year after year is tough to watch especially when some of them sacrifice family vacations, new clothing or other things to chase this.

Not trying to pick a fight but you, key board warrior. For your kid ODP is perfect. You should actively pursue it and try get the sweatshirt in time for your Thanksgiving facebook post. They have a triple XL for your wife so you should get her one too.
