We currently have him as a coach and have not been impressed, we will be leaving his team in the spring for another club with much better coaching, we already practiced with the new coach and are very happy

Not OP but we’ve had him as a coach. Practices are sound, but talent selection/assignment is weird to the point of us questioning whether we are watching the same games and practices. Like he’s in another dimension weird.

Agreed. We are fine with his practices/coaching style and effort. But when we went thru the tryouts, they selected 12 kids for a full year but then added another 12 for winter so the class when from 12 to 24 with same one coach. So obviously the coaching ratio/quality drops. Why pretend they have tryouts when they take anyone later on. We did not like it. So there is no talent selection at this age level. Likely same for other clubs.
