    Hartford Athletic Youth Academy Team

Would love for a quality youth Academy program to be offered through the Hartford Athletic organization some time soon (like the New England Revolution, NYCFC, or the Red Bulls). CT is too watered down on the boys side (girls too) and it’s time that there is a ‘Premier’ program to showcase the most talented players CT has to offer.

They do have a Youth Academy Team. The problem is that they suck and aren’t like the rest

I know right. Too bad the one they are running won't play in a league and is having massive open tryouts after offers already went out for most teams.

Because it's not mlsn. They just call it "academy." Any club can do that.

Having a team like 3 MLS teams……they aren’t an mls team and probably won’t exist in Hartford in 3 years. They don’t have money to fund anything. They are trying to survive.

AC Connecticut run their U19. Qualified for USL Nationals.

AC CT always been strong though, some of their youngest teams are regular attendees of regional and national championships. Fairly certain their 06 group won the national championship a few years ago.

Hartford is leeching off AC CT. The possibility that AC CT take the USL Franchise from Hartford Athletic who then cease operations in the next few years is likely. Hartford struggling to survive.

Too many clubs certainly, but generally there isn't that many top tier programs for boys. Oakwood & Beachside for the strongest players who do not play high school. FSA, CT Rush Elite, AC CT/Inter for the strongest players who do. Then you have third tier programs which often feed these two CPSSC, Revolution, Sporting CT, Ginga, Rush, Ajax etc but these don't tend to recruit players over 30 mins away and tend to play in EDP State Leagues.

CT will never have a program to rival the MLS clubs without an MLS franchise. Which is never going to happen.

Oakwood & Beachside get crushed in the MLS Next leagues most weeks.

The "CFCU boys suck" narrative needs to be retired. U15's second in ECNL. Other ages doing okay (and yes, some terribly). New blood coming in, challenging FSA's reign.

Glad to hear that you are successful playing the easy teams
