              It’s a showcase dumb*ss

All kids get playing time, college coaches don’t care of the score unless you are getting blown away.

06 will be just fine. They haven’t played at all together since July and this was there first event together.

Seeing that the teams are just coming off high school and have not had a practice I'm sure everyone is happy they lost. Let's wait to judge these teams until they play a few meaningful league games. But thanks for worrying

Isn’t everyone coming off high school? Not worrying, but thanks for the excuses.

Other states don't have the same club restrictions during the fall so other teams have had some practices. Not a complete excuse but it does make a difference. So do sub rules....but all that matters is if coaches showed up and players impressed the ones they reached out to, not the scores

Regardless, even if the state allows it, it's absurd to suggest any teams can get consistent practices in with a High School season of practice every day and 2-3 games/week. Every team is in the same boat, coming off HS season, missing players who are in State tournaments, limited or no practice time, and subbing more than usual since it is a showcase.

Why would you play a first event together in front of college coaches?

I know. Seems like it would be smarter to schedule a friendly than risk the biscuit. A player and their own skills only goes so far. You need teammates reciprocating in execution otherwise the ball doesn’t move, the style of play devolves to boot and run, and the coach learned nothing about the player other than their hair color.

PDA blue is the gold standard and a measuring stick in the Northeast. A college coach will look at your kid and see if they can hang with blue. College coach will see if your kid can play under intense pressure and how they react to losing.
